Nothing more has happened on the new house situation; other than the realtor websites have moved the listing to Contingent! Obviously it’s contingent on the inspection which is Wednesday.
I feel like it is forever away! I just want to go in and look at things again and take measurements. I want to see which of the two bedrooms are smaller, that will be the office. There’s one that’s painted navy and the other is a neutral cream color. I am thinking it’s the cream room.
I have managed to look at Pinterest more since the offer was accepted than I have in the last 5 years! I have figured out what I would like the laundry room to look like, in time.
I have washed my bedding. I’ve purged all my books on my “main” bookshelf, 6 Target Drive-Up bags are ready to be donated to some friends and family. The rest are going to Goodwill. I call it the main bookshelf, as it’s the biggest one, but it’s one that has the most books I’ve read and have no sentimental connection with.
I bought these to label the boxes + had the genius idea to stick one on a blank piece of paper and tap it to the room in which the boxes will be moved to.
I’m going to use the three boxes I have now to pack up the books I am going to keep. I am really hoping to pack + purge everyday. Mom is bringing some rubbermaid type storage tubs when she comes on Wednesday and this weekend I can get boxes from Tony.
I got an incredible rate on movers from a company my realtor suggested + has personally, recently used. I scheduled it for the day of the closing. Mom thought I should wait, but I wanted to have the movers come and get all the stuff they could – then I would move my stuff I wanted to move [think some of my Scentsy stuff and a few other delicate / fragile things]. This is stuff I could for sure have a load in my Equinox leading up to the day of the closing.
I’m hoping that I can get a “first in the morning” closing, and have the movers here right away, and if / when I have to leave for the closing, have someone here to oversee the movers. I don’t think my Mom can take off work, but maybe Joe can come up. Otherwise I’m not sure what I’ll do. I’m sure I’ll figure something out…
I’ve been of course scouring Target, Amazon, and Bed Bath & Beyond for all the things I think I need.
