Friday Five | 3.6.20

Five things or moments in my life that happened this week that I want to write about.

  • Migraine
  • Bad day not a bad life
  • Teaspoon’s birthday
  • Nashville tornado
  • Adulting

Migraine: I’m certain that my emotions on Sunday and lack of sleep that became a headache on Monday afternoon, then later became a migraine. I hadn’t had one for a while. I feel like I brought this all on myself.

Bad day not a bad life: I haven’t had the best week, emotionally.  It’s just a bad day or week not a bad life. I keep repeating that over and over.

Teaspoon’s birthday: I cannot believe on Tuesday, Shawn’s son turned 4! I called and talked to them on Monday evening, FaceTimed them a little bit, then crashed. I woke up to a text from Shawn about her voting, and letting me know she was okay…

Nashville tornado: Shawn had texted me on her son’s birthday letting me know she voted and that she was okay, but I was shocked to see the devastation of the tornadoes. I knew we’d see the numbers rise as the day wore on. It’s been sad to see, but on the flip side, to see everyone coming together.

Adulting: In Iowa you have to have the Real ID by October, of course my license is to be renewed in November… so I have today off. I’m getting this taken care of likely as this is posting. [I cheated and scheduled this to post]  And then don’t be jealous I have a yearly check at the girly doctor… I had to reschedule this appointment because of my surgery, called on Tuesday and figured it would be a month or so before I got in. I let them know that I was off on Friday if they happened to have a cancellation or opening, and they did! Bonus for not having to use sick time for this.
